Popcorn order forms were handed out at the September pack meeting. If you didn’t receive an order form or need more, please contact Samir Mavrakis via ScoutTrack.
This year the Popcorn sale will run through October. Popcorn selling is our major fundraiser for the year in Cub Scouts. All popcorn orders and money must be turned in by the Pack Meeting on November 6. Product will be delivered in early December (more details to follow).
We have compiled a list of selling tips/tricks/techniques to help your son be more successful in selling.
For the last several years, the Boy Scouts of America has been pursuing a strategic, national plan on how to update the Cub Scout program. In late 2009 volunteers met with national BSA staff and leaders in the field of child development to discuss “What Today’s Youth Want and Need”.
From that kickoff meeting, the BSA has been designing the changes to the Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venturing programs. Starting on June 1st, 2015, the Cub Scouts began implementing these changes and the program is now designed around these core desired outcomes:
- More Cub Scouts being active/having fun
- Improved Webelos transition/retention
- Simplified advancement
- Improved connection to mission and aims
WHEN: September 11, 2017 @ 6:30 – 7:30 PM
WHERE: Gulledge Elementary School
Please note we’re meeting 30 minutes earlier than normal since it’s an outdoor meeting (meet @ playground).
Join us for a fun night of awards and water rockets! Each scout should bring a 2 liter bottle decorated to your liking.
Bring your checkbook, too. Alissa Mavrakis will be collecting dues money.
